As the 2026 FIFA World Cup gets underway, the tournament has sparked a surge of music releases from artists around the world, continuing the long tradition of soccer and music intersecting on the global stage.
Leading the soundtrack is ‘Dai Dai,’ the official FIFA anthem performed by Shakira and Burna Boy. The reggaetón and afrobeats-influenced track anchors the Official FIFA World Cup 2026 Album, an 18-track collection billed as the most expansive music project ever assembled for a World Cup.
FIFA president Gianni Fantino described the album as featuring “artists from across continents, languages and genres in a project designed to unite fans worldwide through the power of music and football.”
Brazilian football legend Ronaldinho has also entered the fray with Camisa 10, a star-studded album featuring Sean Paul, Justin Quiles, Luis R. Conriquez, and Lenny Tavárez, among others. The project spans dancehall, música Mexicana, cuarteto, and piseiro.
Other major artists, including J Balvin, LISA, Carlos Vives, Jelly Roll, Grupo Frontera, and ‘The Rolling Stones,’ have likewise released soccer-themed material tied to the tournament.
The 2026 World Cup marks the first time the tournament is being hosted across three countries simultaneously: Canada, Mexico, and the United States. Matches are scheduled from June 11 through July 19 across 16 cities, with the final set to take place at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
