Arsenal midfielder Ethan Nwaneri could leave the Premier League champions this summer, with Borussia Dortmund named as his preferred destination, according to reports.
The 19-year-old, who spent the second half of the season on loan at Marseille, is set to receive a Premier League winners’ medal after making six appearances in the competition.
Arsenal secured the title following Manchester City’s draw against Bournemouth, ending a 22-year wait.
Nwaneri scored twice in nine appearances for Marseille but has struggled for regular minutes.
Sky Germany reported that the teenager is ‘open to a move’ to Dortmund, long-term admirers of the player, although a deal is considered unlikely due to the finances involved.
The England U21 international is contracted to Arsenal until 2030, meaning any transfer would command a significant fee. Dortmund, known for developing young talent, could be priced out of a move despite their interest.
